What a handsome bird! This is one of our most abundant wintering sparrows. Usually every brush pile and thicket harbors many of these birds each winter. They come in the fall, and some actually stay around until the middle of May. At the EcoScape you can find them around woodlands of the forest particularly at the northern end.
